Every month here at Hillcrest, we have an offering for the Benevolence Fund. We use that fund to provide members of our church and community with charitable gifts and assistance with emergency financial needs. However, many needs in our church and community are not just financial needs, and members of our congregation have many gifts beyond just their financial resources. Some common non-monetary benevolent needs include meals, transportation, and companionship, but there are many others. Hillcrest members give generously of their time and talents in many ways, but sometimes it is hard to match people in need with people who can meet that need for them.
For that reason, we’re asking you to help us create a Benevolent Service Bank of your skills, abilities, and willingness to help. That way, for example, when we find out someone needs help picking up groceries, mowing a lawn, or just having someone to talk to, we know who to call. By filling out this form, you aren’t committing to anything other than willingness to possibly help at some point in the future. Completing this form just means we might ask if you’re available, and if you’re not, we’ll call the next person on the list.
Thank you for your willingness to partner with us in meeting the needs of God's people. The Hillcrest Deacons
