ONE WAY TO HAVE A MORE EFFECTIVE QUIET TIME

Many of us now have more time on our hands due to the recommendation to be "socially distant". Use this time to spend more time with the One who made you, who sought you, who bought you and made you His own - in His Word, The Bible. Click below for a short 4 step method to spend more time meditating on Scripture.

Bible Discovery and Discussion Group – starting January 11

Using the book, The Normal Christian Life, by Chinese Bible teacher and leader Watchman Nee.

You are invited to join a weekly small group discussion over 8 weeks.  Women or men of any age, facilitated by Chad Schreur.  Ideally in person, but Zoom is an option as well.

After 2020, we simply want to return to normal…
…but perhaps - if we are honest - we are not really clear what it is to live the normal Christian life.
Could God’s design for us be greater and richer than we currently understand?
If you are willing to discover what God says is “normal”, I expect this will change your life as a Christian going forward.
This is not an invitation to an intellectual exercise, but to an awakening of your heart and soul.

Discover new spiritual realities that are already yours in Christ through a fresh look at Romans 1-8, 12 and other passages.
This classic book has sold over 1 million copies and has greatly deepened my understanding, and many others over the years, what it truly means to be a disciple of Christ.

Monday evenings starting Jan. 11, but open to making other arrangements based on interest.

An incredible distillation of the Gospel and what it means to truly be a disciple of Christ. I have a new understanding of Christ’s sacrifice for me, and look forward to the joy that awaits when I truly begin to live for Him.

This is a book that you will want to take time to read, pondering most every sentence. You will find yourself highlighting much of the book for later reference. Watchman Nee uses language that is easily understood, yet concepts that you will want to slowly digest. I intend to re-read this book several times. It's life-changing and will challenge you to live a life that is fully devoted to Christ.

This was an amazing book and I have no doubt that God will bring a spirit of revelation upon reading this book ...Nee was an amazing man who after these books spent the rest of his life in jail for Jesus Christ. Now if you’re going to learn anything why would you not go to someone who was willing and did walk the talk .I am so very thankful for his work and hope to read everything he ever wrote. I’m so tired of Christian books filed with milk .If you want some spiritual meat this is it

Most of Watchman Nee writings are great helps in growing to a mature Man in Christ. He really offers good help in acquiring the spirit filled life. Anyone wanting to grow spiritually and are tired of the current state of the secular leaning churches today would do good to look into Watchman Nee's spirit filled life.

I have read this book three times in the past three years and God continues to use this to draw me into a deeper, more loving, more obedient, more joyful relationship with Him. This is not a must-have just for your bookshelf. This is a must-have for YOUR LIFE. This, IN ADDITION, to the Word of God, should be considered essential reading!

Not only are questions asked but they are answered. Mr. Nee gets to the point and explains things along the way.

I'm a big Watchman Née reading fan. He writes into my spirit and makes me see how wonderful the Christ is. This is one of his best works along with The Spiritual Man. Normal is not Christianity, but Christ Himself!

Few books even come close to presenting the possibilities of the Christian life as clearly as this book does. Every Christian would benefit from reading this volume. Many Christians do not reach their full potential as witnesses for Christ because they don't know of the power available to them through "Christ in them".

This book puts Jesus Christ at the forefront of your walk as a Christian. If you are using your own faculties and willpower to lead the Christian life, let Watchman Nee use God's Word to show you how to take advantage of who you already are in Christ. Great book.
